Alan Weiss, PhD. is a consultant, speaker, and author of his new book Sentient Strategy: How to Create Market-Dominating Strategies in Turbulent Economies. Through his consulting firm, Summit Consulting Group, Inc., he has worked with over 500 leading organizations, including Merck, Hewlett-Packard, GE, Mercedes-Benz, The Federal Reserve, and the New York Times Corporation. He has published 60 books, many of which have been on the curricula at top business schools. Moreover, he has served on the boards of directors of the Trinity Repertory Company, a Tony-Award-winning New England regional theater, Festival Ballet, chaired the Newport International Film Festival, and been president of the board of directors of Festival Ballet Providence. All in all, his career has taken him to 60 countries and 49 states.
