The line between fiction and reality is blurrier today than ever before. Sometimes a book or a movie filled with fictional characters can remind us of reality and often we tend to forget those are made-up stories may have no connection with reality. Very often real-life experiences can shape fiction and fictional experiences can shape the way we think. As we go through life we participate in the lives of others. Readers very often can relate to the experiences of the characters they read in a book, which can stir up memories of their own experiences. Robbie is known for founding and leading the team that created the Xbox. He is an entertaining storyteller and catalyzing voice who writes books and speaks to audiences on leadership, creativity, strategy, and civic issues. In his career at Microsoft, Robbie worked in various marketing management roles—including supporting the successful launch and expansion of Microsoft Office and leading the creation and development of the Xbox business. As Microsoft’s President of the Entertainment and Devices Division, he was responsible for the company’s worldwide gaming, music, video, phone, and retail sales businesses. He chairs the board of the Bipartisan Policy Center, serves on the national board of governors for Boys and Girls Clubs of America, has been a board member of the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Sonos Inc., His is the author of Xbox revisited: A game plan for public and civic renewal and his new book , The Wilkes Insurrection: A Contemporary Thriller, now available on Amazon.
