Now, meet the B-side!

Q. Is there something that you do every day? Any special routine you follow?

Yes, of course I tried to make myself go normal to work even though I’m mostly working remotely from home. So, I have my morning routine, and also the lunch break, even though I have to prepare my lunch by myself. But I do.  It just being there, working quite well. Of course, there are a lot of things I’m missing also from normal times.

Q. Did you develop some new hobbies during the pandemic?

No, actually no new hobbies but I could say that I had more time for my hobbies because I don’t have to drive to the office every day. And, also, I don’t have to travel to Sweden. So, I have been having much more time, for example, working in my garden and sailing in the summertime and so and that’s OK. In that sense, it has been good times. In past years, I’ve been sailing also, for example, in Croatia, but mostly, I’m sailing here with my family, here in Finland.

Q. Do you like to read?

Yeah, I like to read also, that’s something which I have done for quite some time. Mostly, I read biographies, and then also crime novels. Especially from Nordic Writers. Swedish, Norwegian, a few others

Q. If you were to write an autobiography, what would the title be?

Oh. Maybe something which I do quite often say to my colleagues: “Things have a manner to be fixed”.

Q. What was your first non-desk job, before you started in the directory business?

Yeah. I have been working summertime since I was 15 years old. And my first job was the gardener in the nursery, working really well. And also in a warehouse and also on a construction site, before I started to study further.

Q. Is gardening also one of your hobbies?

Yes, I’d say, it’s good, I mean, it’s, it’s also bringing new summer if you have to be outside o and you have to be constant also in what you’re doing and everything, so that’s really nice.

Q. Do you have a favorite type of comfort food or cuisine you like to eat?

I like quite a lot of seafood, I really like good fresh fish, and then also one of my favourites is Italian cuisine, and I think, mostly, it’s me who is cooking, in a way our kitchen is my kingdom.

Q. If you could have dinner with a famous person, living or dead, who would that be?

Hmm. Maybe the one I will choose would be the Marshall of Finland, Carl-Gustav Mannerheim. He was the first general in the imperial Russian army and then after Finland became independent, so he also led the Finnish army in the Second World War. And he was also a cosmopolitan and explorer. And he also loved really good food.

Q. If you had one message you would like to give to Siinda members and partners, what would this be?

That nothing else is permanent than change, so, we have to live in time. We should adapt to the situation and hopefully we’re all going to see each other during 2021.
