The “Saarländische Annoncen und Reklame Agentur” – SARAG GmbH – was founded on August 14, 1946 in Saarbücken, in the presence of the notary Winand Froitzheim. The objective of the company was “the commercial operation of advertising in all its manifestations in the Saar area and outside the Saar area”. At that time, the term advertising was interpreted very broadly and, in addition to classic advertisements, also included the publication of films, almanacs or even the sale of tickets and flight tickets.
