The Big Quit? No, Save Your Career without Leaving your Job
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 4 million Americans quit their jobs in July 2021. Resignations peaked in April and have remained abnormally high for several months, with a record-breaking 10.9 million open jobs at the end of July. The trend has not yet hit Europe in the forces like in the U.S.. Still, Personio recently conducted a study among Dutch workers which had ‘US-like results’, wherein it found that 46% of those surveyed planned to quit in the next six months to a year — five percent higher than the global percentage. You will hear several arguments about why jobs are hard to fill, from too much governmental support to zoom exhaustion.
